Edward was part of a large weeklong event in Fresno Unified School District last year, where he visited six of our elementary schools. During each visit, he brought students with energy and excitement about creating their own stories.

He used his book, The Boy from Mexico Becomes a Farmworker, to show students the work involved in making a book, with a focus on character building and storyboarding. He was an inspiration to many students here in Fresno; a year has passed, and I still have students and teachers alike asking when Edward will come back.
